Actually, Vaillant is rated 4.6 out of 5. But if you round it up and consider that they have more than 10,000 reviews, we think it’s fair to say that they’re 5-star rated.

The important thing to remember here is that reviews come directly from the people like you – the customer.

When you look a little closer, almost 80% of those 10,000+ reviews are 5-star reviews. And considering us Brits are apparently more reserved and not so forthcoming with positive feedback, there must be something worth shouting about.

That’s not a typo! Selected Vaillant boilers really do come with a 10 year guarantee.

Boilers aren’t cheap – that’s why, here at SDB, we always recommend planning for a boiler replacement as opposed to waiting until it lets you down – so you need to be sure that you’re spending your money wisely.

Now consider this:

A boiler is expected to have a 15 year lifespan. That’s the average, some last much longer than that.

So now imagine having the reassurance that a Vaillant boiler is GUARANTEED for two thirds of its estimated lifespan.

Repair costs can be astronomical at the best of times. But if your boiler was to break down in Winter at the peak of the colder weather, you’d face a double whammy.

Well, there isn’t one. But there are stipulations.

Firstly, your new boiler needs to be installed with a Vaillant Boiler Protection Kit. This is a central heating filter, made specifically for Vaillant boilers, which keeps the heating side of your system dirt-free by collecting the magnetite (the black stuff in central heating systems, caused by corrosion, that can block water ways).

The guarantee also needs to be registered by a Vaillant Advance installer. A Vaillant Advance installer is Gas Safe Registered, and has been personally observed and certified by a Vaillant expert.

6. With boilers up to 43kw, Vaillant offers the highest ever water flow rate

Flow rates from Vaillant boilers has always been great.

But now, on their combi boiler range, they have models with higher output ranges and, thus, higher hot water flow rates. Increased flow rates of up to 17.8 litres per minute can now be achieved on Vaillant’s ecoTEC Exclusive range.

So, if you have a larger home and your hot water demand is usually met using a cylinder, Vaillant now offer an alternative.

The ecoTEC Plus combination boiler, for example, can deliver a whopping 20 litres of hot water to your tap within 5 seconds.

Hence, your cylinder is no longer required.

Of course, you would need to ensure that your incoming water supply can deliver such water flow rates from the start.

7. Vaillant boilers have multiple flue options (including a rear flue)

All leading manufactures tend to offer horizontal and vertical flue options for boiler installs:

• Horizontal flues – sometimes referred to as standard flues, run from the top of the boiler through to the outside wall (usually determined by your boiler’s location).
• Vertical flues – leave the top of the boiler and generally go straight up through the roof. Hence, your boiler doesn’t necessarily have to be installed on an outside wall.

In some instances – such as when a boiler is installed inside a kitchen cupboard – a horizontal flue is not an option because space is restricted.

Their ecoFIT Pure boilers, with their compact design, offer a rear flue option. This allows the flue to leave the back of the boiler instead of the top.
