COVID-SECURE GAS ENGINEERS
Coronavirus (COVID-19) has certainly changed the way we work. But we want to reassure you that this awful pandemic has not prevented us from working.
The safety and wellbeing of our customers, suppliers and engineers is our top priority. We have, therefore, put the appropriate measures in place to ensure their safety, prevent the spread of the virus and become COVID-secure.
If you need us now, we are ready. If you need us in the future, we will be ready.
HOW WE WORK SAFELY
When one of our gas engineers visits your property, they will follow the necessary steps to protect you and them. Here’s what will happen before and during a visit:
Work will be risk-assessed upon booking an appointment and upon visiting your property. We advise you to also complete your own risk assessment.
When we arrange an appointment with you, we will ask if you or any members of your household are showing any symptoms of the virus. Please don’t be offended by this, we want to protect you and our engineers.
An engineer WILL NOT visit your property if they are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, however mild.
If you can, make sure that access to your property (and the area that needs to be worked on) is clear. That way, the engineer will not need to make contact with your belongings unnecessarily.
When an engineer arrives at your property, they will step a safe distance back before you open your door, and greet you without contact.
The engineer will be wearing a face masks and gloves, and be equipped with hand sanitiser and a face guard to be used when necessary. They will also have antibacterial spray or antibacterial wipes and paper towels to clean any surface they touch while visiting your property.
All tools and equipment brought into your property will be properly sanitised.
We will maintain a 2-meter (6.5 feet) safe distance during the visit. Please make sure that you also do the same.
In normal circumstances, an engineer would welcome a drink. But these are not normal circumstances, so please don’t feel obliged to make one for them.
All payments should be made electronically, either by clicking the ‘Pay Now’ link at the bottom of the invoice or by bank transfer.
Working for you
Our working hours will be limited during this difficult time and emergencies will be prioritised for existing customers. We will still be doing quotations for future work but, where possible, these will be done via phone or email.
If you would like us to carry out a job for you, please get in touch by calling 01782 914020 or by completing our online form.
We thank you for your patience during this period and welcome any feedback you may have regarding the way we work.
